Quizzing yourself

Close your book and ask yourself what you still know. With cards in boxes you often practise what you do not know yet and less often what has stuck.

all grades10 to 18 yearsDraft: Not yet checked by a teacher or pupil counsellor.

Why

You looked at your notes for an hour and everything seemed clear. So why do you not remember how it went in the test?

Looking at your notes feels like learning, but mostly you practise recognising. In a test you have to recall it yourself, without it being in front of you.

When you quiz yourself, you practise exactly that recalling. You notice straight away what you do not know yet, and you know where your time should go.
