Spacing and mixing
Study in a few short sessions over several days instead of all at once, and mix kinds of exercises. It feels harder, but you remember it longer.
Why
Doing the same kind of exercise for two hours in a row feels smooth. So why does it still go wrong in the test?
When you do the same thing twenty times in a row, by the second exercise you already know which method you need. In the test the questions are mixed up, and there you have to choose yourself.
If you space and mix, you practise exactly that choosing and recalling. It feels slower and harder, but that very effort helps your memory.
