Sleep and movement
While you sleep, your head fixes what you learned, and moving makes you fresh again. Teenagers need about 8 to 10 hours of sleep.
Why
Studying until midnight the evening before the exam: that gives you extra time, right? Why is it not a good idea?
Learning does not stop when you close your book. While you sleep, your brain fixes what you learned that day. If you sleep too little, that work is left half done.
When you are tired, it is also harder to concentrate and easier to read past something. An extra hour of study can cost you more than it brings.
