Asking for help

Asking for help is a skill, not a weakness. Choose who helps you best, from looking it up yourself to your teacher, the CLB or Awel on 102.

all grades10 to 18 yearsDraft: Not yet checked by a teacher or pupil counsellor.

Why

You have been stuck on an exercise for half an hour, or you have been carrying something heavy for weeks. So why do so many young people still stay alone with it?

Many young people find it hard to ask for help. They think they should manage on their own, or they feel ashamed. But if you ask for help in time, you lose less time and less energy.

Asking for help is something you can learn. It helps to know who to go to with which question, and how to ask your question so someone can really help you.
